Medical VoIP Phone Systems (PBX)

Mission Specific Phone Systems for Small Medical Offices

Reliable and secure communications are of the utmost importance when it comes to a patients health. Medical offices have a unique set of requirements, reliability, and security of communications being the two most important factors. All of our phone systems meet a strict set of standards to provide both reliability and security without compromising features. Read more below to find out how one of our custom designed phone systems can benefit your practice.

Multiple Offices and Medical Groups

VoIP Phone Systems and devices are generally inter-compatible and very easily integrate with one and another. Early adopters and developers of VoIP technology saw the need for remote telecommunications, specifically the ability to have remote extensions as well as satellite PBX systems that operate in secondary offices. While only one VoIP server is technically required today, failover services and bandwidth saving services can be implemented at a remote location to improve reliability and decrease cost over a period of time.

There are many methods that can be used to link voice systems together, both proprietary (Commercial) and standardized (Open Source such as SIP), and most commercial and open source phone systems support a wide variety of protocols that can be used to link offices together. It is not uncommon to run devices mixed and matched between manufacturers at separate locations in order to provide the most reliable and affordable Phone System.

Medical Video Conferencing

Multimedia Collaboration/Telemedicine

The use of modern technology such as H.323 makes it very easy for us to integrate video and other forms of multimedia and data transport into your phone system. These technologies are standards set by the ITU's Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) that strictly defines how a voice/video call is handled. H.323 video calls are secure, reliable and use little bandwidth making them reliable and safe especially when discussing confidential information.

Most VoIP platforms include some sort of H.323 gatekeeper system that controls call flow and routing to partner locations, typically placing a H.323 video call is as easy as dialing a phone number in a properly configured system. Since H.323 is a standard and used by large and small medical facilities worldwide, it is more than likely other medical offices utilizing video conferencing technology will be compatible with you.
